Matthew Seguin, MA, is the principal archaeologist and owner of Seguin Archaeological Services Inc. He holds a professional license (P1018) issued by the Ontario Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism, and Cultural Industries, and a Level II (Secret) security clearance. With more than 10 years’ experience in archaeology, Matthew has worked on various archaeological assessments throughout Ontario, and the United States, managing up to 60+ person field crews.

He has worked on various site types ranging from Pre-contact Aboriginal to Historic Euro-Canadian. These assessments have included municipal, provincial, and federal projects as well as private enterprise projects in such sectors as renewable energy, power transmission, nuclear energy, transportation (including rail, highway, and waterways), housing development, and aggregate projects. Throughout these projects he has positively engaged and liaised with Indigenous groups, landowners, clients, and community members.
